X-Dance Action Film Festival – Lake Tahoe

Heavenly to open the 20th.

Heavenly is going to be open November 20th. Well that the official rumor. They won’t open on a thin strip of snow. It needs to be treeline to treeline, mid-winter like conditions. That’s a good thing, you can leave the rock skis at home and expect great skiing and riding. As Heavenly has the West Coast’s largest snowmaking system you can be sure the best early conditions will be here. For those of you how don’t already know, the Heavenly Gondola is closer to our hotel than most of Heavenly’s parking is to their own lifts.

Anyone who drives a hybrid vehicle to the hotel will receive 20% off of their stay. Guests can book online at www.968ParkHotel.com or over the phone using the promotional code “LoEm”. Reservations staff will verify that a hybrid vehicle was used for transportation when checking the environmentally conscious drivers into the hotel.

PICCHETTI WINERY TO OFFER FREE WINE TASTING AT 968 PARK HOTEL.

Picchetti Winery will offer a free wine tasting to guests of 968 Park Hotel on May 8th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Picchetti Winery will be pouring their Red Pavone (Bordeaux Style), Cabernet, Tempranillo, Tahoe White, Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio. A representative from Picchetti will be present to discuss the attributes of the wine and process in which the wine was made.
Award winning Picchetti Winery has rich historical roots dating back to the late 1800’s; making Picchetti one of the oldest wineries in California. The winery complex is listed both on the National Registry of Historical Places and the Santa Clara County Heritage Resource Inventory.
