• Video is to be in 4:3 format, no widescreen submissions.
• Winners are limited to 4 free nights per 12 month period.

We have recently changed our hallway lights from halogen bulbs to LED bulbs! Not only does it help our power bill but it is also helping the environment and reduces our overall carbon foot print. Check out some of the statistics for the project:

Project Overview

• 54 total lights
• Old bulbs were 75 watts per bulb X 54 lights = 4,050 watts total
• New bulbs are 3 watts per bulb X 54 lights = 162 watts total
• Total wattage saving of 3,888 watts – That equals about 4kWh used per hour
• Average cost in California for electricity is $.15/kWh
• That is an average savings of $.60 cents per hour | $14.40 per day | $100.80 per week | $403.20 per month
